About Us
About PlantHaus
Light matched to your plant, your space, your budget.
Our Story
PlantHaus started with a simple problem: every plant parent we knew had asked the same question — 'Which grow light should I actually buy?' — and the honest answer was 'It depends, and Amazon won't tell you.' The category is fragmented across hundreds of sellers, dozens of form factors, and a wall of acronyms (PPFD, lumens, kelvin, full-spectrum, COB) that mean nothing if you just want your monstera to stop reaching for the window. So we built the store we wished existed: a single shelf of carefully chosen lights, organized the way real plant parents actually shop — by what they're growing, where they live, and what they want to spend. We're not a luxury design brand and we're not a grower's wholesale outfit. We're the friend who already read the spec sheets so you don't have to.
Our Mission
To take the guesswork out of indoor lighting for urban plant parents — by curating only the form factors and brands that actually deliver, organizing them by plant type, room size, and budget, and translating the technical specs into language that helps people decide.
What We Stand For
Decisions, not catalogs.
Every collection is built around a question a plant parent actually asks — not around a manufacturer's product line. If a SKU doesn't help someone choose, it doesn't ship.
Plain language over jargon.
PPFD and wavelength matter, but only if explained. We translate every spec into 'what this means for your plant' and never hide behind acronyms.
Plant parents, not pros.
We curate for apartment shelves, kitchen counters, and living-room corners — not commercial grow tents. If a product is built for a market we don't serve, we leave it on Amazon.
Our Standards
Every light earns its place on our shelf.
- ✓ Trusted by hundreds of verified plant-parent reviewers across the major plant-care communities.
- ✓ Sourced from established lighting brands with proven track records — not no-name listings.
- ✓ Tested against the real questions urban plant parents ask: Will it fit my shelf? Will my pothos actually grow? Is it bright enough for my fiddle-leaf?
- ✓ Held to a single standard regardless of price tier — entry-level lights face the same scrutiny as premium tripods.
If a product's quality slips — whether reviews start trending negative, the seller changes hands, or we hear from customers that something isn't right — we pull it without hesitation, even if it's a bestseller.
Our Promise
Every light on PlantHaus has been chosen to fit a specific plant parent question — never just to fill a category page.
